Porto star Hulk reveals desire for Chelsea move
Porto forward Hulk has reiterated his desire to join Chelsea, but has insisted he will not push Porto into making sure the deal happens.
Hulk, real name Givanildo Vieira de Souza, has been linked with the Blues since last summer and it has been widely reported that he will make the move to Stamford Bridge ahead of the upcoming season.
Following the signing of Eden Hazard from Lille, the media was awash with speculation claiming Hulk was closing in on a move to Chelsea, but the rumours have subsided in recent weeks and it remains unclear whether the two clubs are in fact negotiating a deal.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has been vocal in expressing his wish to join Chelsea and he has once again publicly stated he wants the move to happen.
However, he added he would not be forcing Porto’s hand.
“Chelsea are the current European champions and would please any player and I’m no exception,” Hulk told daily Portuguese sports newspaper O Jogo.
“I’d be happy if the transfer happened.
“I leave everything in the hands of Porto.
“I am under contract and I have been happy at Porto for four years, where I have achieved everything.
“I’ll have the club in my heart no matter what happens this summer or in any other summer.”
Hulk has been in inspired form for Porto for the past two seasons, scoring 39 league goals in 47 appearances.
