Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday ordered the men of the State Security Service (SSS) to seize the passport of the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, over incoherent reasons. The men of the SSS accosted Sanusi shortly after his plane landed at the ExecuJet Terminal of the

Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, where he was asked to surrender his passport.

The men who came in plain clothes put calls across to some senior officials who told them not to arrest Sanusi but to make sure he surrender the international passport, in a bid to arrest him later. He was given no reasons on why his passport was confisticated.

Sanusi who just returned from Niger Republic from a conference of West African Central Bank Governors was welcome by his friends and associates, alongside Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and later drove to an unknown destination.
