The peace negotiation between Ethiopian Government and ONLF was a big opportunity for Ethiopian Government and ONLF, Ogaden and Ethiopian people, and also regional and international community. But unfortunately, the peace negotiation has collapsed, when the government failed to come-up with an open mind and form or establish facts for the peace talks. ONLF position was very clear and strong, when they submitted comprehensive programme for the peace talks and process, and asked all parts to go directly to the key issues about the negotiation, which is “how to end the human problem and crisis in the Ogaden region”.

ONLF got the reality and facts of the Woyane government, and talked to them with the language that, the Woyane government can understand, which went to the Woyane team heads and hearts. Thanks ONLF and Nelson Mandela, when he said t “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language that goes to his heart”. The Mandela’s conclusion was that, “If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner.” So, ONLF got this point, but the Woyane team was disappointed with the facts and requirements for the peace negotiation.
