Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho wants Chelsea ‘keeper Thibaut
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is said to be interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who is currently on-loan at Atletico Madrid.
The 19-year old custodian is said to have attracted the attentions of the Portuguese manager with his impressive performances, especially in the Europa League, who is keen to sign an understudy to Spanish No1 Iker Casillas, according to the Daily Mirror.
Atletico are currently in the quarter-finals of the European competition and won 2-1 against German Bundesliga side
Hannover 2-1 in the first leg, and look favourites to go through to the semi-finals.
Courtois was bought by Chelsea during the summer from Belgian club Genk but was immediately loaned out to Atletico, after the Spanish club sold their ‘keeper David De Gea to Manchester United.
The young keeper, who also made his debut for the Belgian national team last November, admitted last month he will probably be loaned out again next season by Chelsea to continue his development.
