Roger Federer to face tough challenge against Rafael Nadal: Sampras
Former World No. 1 Roger Federer will face big challenge against King of Clay Rafael Nadal at the French Open 2012, where Swiss star should play hard to win the clay court crown says American tennis great Pete Sampras.
14-time Grand Slam champion Pete Sampras insists that, Federer is going to play two different mentality players right now are World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and six-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal. Sampras feels Nadal and Djokovic are the hot favorite to win the French Open 2012 crown, as Federer is also considered to be one of the hot prospects at Roland Garros.
30-year-old Federer is having the ability to beat Nadal on clay courts, if he plays mentally tough at Roland Garros. Swiss Maestro is expecting to get through to clash against Djokovic in semi final and Nadal at French Open championship final, where he has been seeded as No. 3.
Rafael Nadal is good enough to beat any player on clay surface and win French Open crown for seventh time in his career, as he will become the only player to win most of the Roland Garros titles. Federer feels happy to win the Mutua Madrid Masters and appeared in the Rome Masters semi finals, before heading into the French Open tournament.
