The assault case involving Roma Girls High School teacher Dasswell Sichilongo has been adjourned for the third straight time following the absence of magistrate Aridah Chulu.

Sichilongo is accused of one count of assault for having beaten up Roma Girls High School Head Teacher Emma Chakupalesa who locked his institutional house over a delay in payment of rentals.

The 55-year-old Physics teacher got incensed after Chakupalesa refused to hear him out following complications with his bank account that was originally held in Mkushi.

Magistrate Ireen Wishimanga adjourned the matter to September, 17th for continued trial.

Sichilongo, who had initially failed to secure bail, has since been released on K1, 000 bail with two working sureties.
