rupiah-banda-brebner-changala-zambia-reportsFormer Republican President Rupiah Banda has called for hard work to ensure the hosting of the 2019 Africa Cup becomes a reality.

Banda, who is a FAZ life member, said it was his prayer that Zambia won the bid to host the Africa Cup.

“You know I am a football man and I hope we can get it,” he said.

“If we are going to get it, please let me warn in advance we should prepare properly like we did for the Africa Cup and we won it.”

He added: “If we want the cup we should show that we are worth the cup and I hope that the other countries will support us and that they will bring the tournament to Zambia. We will all participate in preparing our team because we all love our team.”

Zambia is bidding to host the 2019 Africa Cup with CAF inspectors currently in the country overseeing facilities in the country.
