Senator Donates Borehole To Community

Senator Gbenga Ashafa, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has donated motorized borehole water project to residents of Odo-Nla at Ikorodu, Lagos.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashafa stressed the importance of the project to the community, noting that water was one of the most important God-given natural resources.

He, however, reiterated his commitment and dedication to the improvement of the welfare of communities in the senatorial district and entire Lagos through the provisions of basic and social infrastructure.

“Under my tenure, 30 boreholes have been installed in various communities across the senatorial district,” he said.

“Some of our other constituency projects include construction of classroom blocks in 11 locations, two drainage channels, four Ambulance Points and one science laboratory; provision of 22 power transformers, street lights in three arterial roads, and one skill acquisition centre.,” he said.

The lawmaker also charged the community on maintenance of the borehole.

“Please ensure that this borehole project is well maintained so that it will serve you and others for a long time.”

Chairman of the Estate, Engr. Adesanya Adekoya, expressed gratitude for the kind gesture.
