Xolile Mngeni (C) the man accused of firing the bullet that killed Swedish tourist, Anni Dewani, in a simulated hijacking in Khayelitsha in 2011 is helped by a policeman to take place in the High Court of Cape Town on August 13, 2012. Mngeni has a brain tumour , which has delayed the trial’s start, but a medical exam had found it would “not alter the situation in so far as the ability of the accused to understand the proceedings”, said Judge Robert Henney. Dewani’s husband, Shrien is fighting against being extradited from the UK to South Africa, allegedly for masterminding his wife’s murder on November 13, 2011 in a poor township on the outskirts of Cape Town.
