Golden Arrows are among two South African top-flight clubs keen on signing Ghana goalkeeper Stephen Adams following his excellent showing at the recent African Nations Championship.

The Aduana Stars shot-stopper says he has been approached by two Premier Soccer League clubs over a possible transfer when the transfer window opens in June.

Adams’s exploits for the Black Stars at the recent Africa Nations Championship in South Africa has attracted a lot of interest in his services.

The 24-year-old has now revealed that he was approached by Golden Arrows during the competition about arranging a switch from his current club, Aduana Stars.

“Before our final game against Libya in the CHAN tournament, I was approached by an agent and an official who said they are from Golden Arrows,” Adams told Football411.

“They said they want to sign me and that I have impressed them with all the saves during the penalty shootout against Nigeria.

“But I made it clear to them I have a running contract with my club Aduana Stars in Ghana and I cannot go contrary to that, the same people came back after the final game and even wanted me to sign a pre-contract with them which I denied, but gave them my contact details and since then we have been exchanging calls.

“My club have confirmed that they have received two offers from South Africa for my services but I cannot pinpoint the names of the club since I was not briefed with the names of the club, but am sure one is from Golden Arrows,” he added.

Arrows are currently without a manager after parting ways with Mark Harrison earlier in the month.
