The Bimex Company’s Logistics manager Ismael Hayek, a Syrian national, who is standing trial for making false declaration, at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court presided over by Magistrate Lamin Mbaye is set for judgment.

This development was made after the presiding Magistrate Lamin Mbaye adopted both parties’ arguments as their final address.

The state prosecution M.N. Jobe noted that it has filed a brief dated  14th August 2014 and urged the court to adopt the said brief as final. She added that the state relied on it.

The Defence lawyer E. Singhateh sought to adopt the brief dated 21st August 2014 and filed on the same day, and further   humbly urged the court to regard it as their final.

This was subsequently granted by the presiding Magistrate and the case was adjourned to 15th September 2014 for judgment.
