Members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Taraba have been urged to be law abiding, especially during the forthcoming nationwide congresses of the party.

Alhaji Hassan Ardo, the state Interim Chairman of the party, gave the advice in an interview with newsmen  in Jalingo on Sunday.

Ardo said the party could only achieve its set objectives of bringing the desired change and transformation in Nigeria under peaceful atmosphere.

“We have to be law-abiding citizens and play the game according to the rules to achieve our goal of providing an alternative platform for Nigerians to effect the desired change,” he said.

He pointed out that all party faithful must come out en masse during the ward congresses to vote for quality and trusted leaders that have the interest of the communities at heart.

“The right people will produce the right leadership and the right leaders will in turn have the interest of the people at heart because they are likely to look back and see where we are coming from,’’ the interim chairman added.

Ardo, who is also aspiring to be a substantive state chairman of the party, urged aggrieved party members to channel their grievances to the appeal committees of the APC, put in place to look into disputed cases.

“This will ensure amicable solution of all problems,’’ he said.

Meanwhile, the APC had slated April 5, April 12 and April 23 for its ward, local government and state congresses across the country.
