A male and female teacher were arrested on Monday accused of having sex with a 16-year-old high school student.
The couple – Bambi Dewey, 32, and John Stalmach, 31, from Las Vegas – were both charged with solicitation of a minor for sex.

Stalmach was also booked also on a charge of sexual conduct between a teacher and a student, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Police said the couple had group sex with the teenage girl at their home in Henderson County. They say Stalmach also had sex with the girl on his own.
The sex occurred between November 2011 and January of this year.

The couple were both teachers at Brown Junior High School while the girl was a student there. Dewey was still working there when the allegations surfaced.

Stalmach is now teaching at Dailey Elementary School in Las Vegas.

Dewey is being held on $20,000 bond and Stalmach on $60,000 bond. They were scheduled to appear in Henderson Justice Court this morning.

In Nevada, it’s a felony for anyone 21 or older and employed in a position of authority at a school to engage in sexual conduct with a student.
In a statement to Action News the school district said: ‘These teachers are off payroll and this serves as a reminder to parents to talk to their kids about any abnormal interactions with adults.’
