ROAD-WORKS1Suspected criminals have broken into the Road Development Agency offices in Lusaka and got away with a safe containing money and documents.

The criminals, who are still at large, are said to have broken through the door and gained access to two offices where they got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

RDA public relation officer Royce Saili said the police had combed the area and investigations had entered high gear.

Saili said the institution was yet to ascertain the exact amount of money that had been stolen.

RDA is red hot property with contracts being a huge currency for the wheelers and dealers in the government system.

RDA was removed from the Ministry of Works and Supply and put under the direct control of State House soon after the Patriotic Front government took over.
