Uganda: Chelsea fans kill Arsenal supporter
THE Police in Bundibugyo district are hunting for three Chelsea supporters who beat an Arsenal fan to death.
The district Police commander, Dennis Namuwoza, identified the deceased as Bernard Mugenyi, 18, a chapati seller and resident of Bunyaruta I village in Bubukwanga sub-county.
Namuwoza said Mugenyi was killed on Monday night by three men, only identified as Ronald, Sedrack and Abbasi, after Chelsea lost to Arsenal by three goals to one.
Namuwoza said the trio went to Mugenyi’s stall after the match and ate six chapattis, but refused to pay. An exchange of words ensued and Mugenyi reportedly taunted the men about the loss their team had suffered.
This annoyed them and they started beating him. The men fled after realising that Mugenyi had died.
