Zambia PoliceThe opposition United Party for National Development, UPND, has branded Zambia Police “thugs in uniform” as reports swell their leader Hakainde Hichilema may be arrested for trumped up charges of being in position seditious material tonight.

The UPND have dared police officer to attempt visiting Hichilema’s home in Lusaka’s Kabulonga area where they have vowed to meet them with full force to protect their members.

“We are informed that the PF are making moves just now to arrest HH on trampled up charges.

“But let them be informed that our members are right now camped at HH’s house and are ready to meet any thug whether in uniform or not.

“We repeat we will protect our members at all times and at all costs,” the UPND posted on their official facebook page.

Hichilema is not new to countless police arrests since President Michael Sata, now incapacitated, assumed office in September 2011.
