When leftist economic and social policies result in catastrophe, the architects of those policies typically cite the bad conditions as evidence that their programs simply have not been implemented as fully as they need to be. And voters, in turn, are persuaded to vote for more of the same. This phenomenon has a name: “The Curley Effect.”
