Veep: Exclusive breastfeeding key to child survival

The vice president and Women’s Affairs minister has underscored that exclusive breastfeeding and adequate complementary feeding are key interventions for improving child survival, saying they can potentially save the lives of about 20% of children under five. She added that breastfeeding for two years and beyond provides high quality nutrients and energy and can help prevent hunger and malnutrition.
