Mighty WanderesBLANTYRE(MaraPost)–Mighty Wanderers and Caps United have cruised to the finals of the Zambezi Soccer Challenge cup after beating Big Bullets and Silver Strikers respectively through penalty shootouts on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium.

In the first game, the Bankers were the first to score but Caps United replied through the new catch Ishmael Thindwa who planted home a well taken Conner kick by former Wanderers talisman Gerard Phiri.

Come the Blantyre Derby, Mighty Wanderers whacked their traditional arch-rivals 4-1 in post-match penalties after 90 minutes ended without anything to write on the score sheet.

The Nomads managed to score all the penalty kicks through Abraham Kamwendo, Mayeso Mphanje, Jacob Ngwira and Timothy Chitedze while Bullets only scored one spot kick courtesy of Douglass Chirambo as goalkeeper Richard Chipuwa brilliantly saved spot kicks by Fisher Kondowe and James Chirapondwa.

The finals will take place on Sunday.
