BoasZambia has minted a first medal at the ongoing 20th Commonwealth games in Scotland.

Zambia’s first Bronze medal has been minted in Judo after Boas Munyonga defeated Canadian Ruarri Dalton.

This was in the 81 kilogramme men category that saw Munyonga becomes the first judoka to win a medal for Zambia at the ongoing games in Scotland.

Munyonga says he was excited to win the medal despite having targeted gold.

Munyonga says he was dedicating the medal to his two month old baby.

And two Zambian boxers have been eliminated after losing their opening bouts.
