Zimbabwe Twenty20 Triangular Series: South Africa made to chase in must-win game
Zimbabwe’s captain Brendan Taylor made the expected decision after winning the toss and chose to bat against South Africa in Harare. The visitors need to win today’s game to stay in the tournament after losing consecutive matches to Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.
South Africa made two changes to the XI that struggled against Bangladesh’s spinners. Colin Ingram was replaced by Richard Levi, a move that could push Faf du Plessis to No.3. Marchant de Lange, who was inconsistent against Bangladesh, was dropped for left-arm seamer Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
Zimbabwe do not have to win to make the final but if they lose by a large margin, Bangladesh could qualify ahead of them on net run-rate. They made one change, replacing Craig Ervine with allrounder Malcolm Waller.
