ZNBC Denies 60, 000 People in Southern Province World Cup Action
Over 60, 000 households in Southern Province that depend on the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation for service will have the misfortune of watching the remainder of the World Cup in Brazil from bars or not watch at all after the Pemba transmitter reportedly blew up.
The Pemba transmitter services almost the entire Southern Province with the Senkobo Tower in Livingstone servicing Zimba and Livingstone.
ZNBC has announced that the blowup was caused by a suspected electrical fault, but has not given a time frame for the rectifying of the problem.
The World Cup enters the semi final stage today with hosts Brazil facing Germany while on Wednesday Argentina takes on Netherlands.
